Recently, people around data centers in Korea are very much concerned about EMFs from the relevant facilities and power lines, and some of them protest strongly against a construction of a big data center near their living area. This study was performed to measure and assess the EMF exposure levels around a data center. The amount of exposure levels around the data center was found to be 0.07 to 0.52 uT, and the maximum value was 0.5293 uT. This is only 0.64% compared to the reference levels of the magnetic field strength for general public exposure at 60 Hz (83.3 uT) of the Korean government notification, which is same as ICNIRP 1998. Measurement result reveals that the exposure levels are far below the domestic and the international guideline.
